Past forty, fat and finished

You know how it is:

You’re standing in a shop trying on a pair of jeans or a blouse, but no matter how much you suck in your stomach, you can’t button it.

“Tomorrow,” you think, “I am going on a diet. Or Monday. Or after I receive my next paycheck. Or after Christmas/my birthday/vacation.”

And you leave the shop without buying anything, determined to do something about your weight. But then the next day/week/month life kicks in and you don’t start that diet, or you start and fail, and some time later you still need those jeans or that blouse and you decide to buy a bigger size – just for now.

And you’re right; it’s just for now, because before you know it, you have to buy your clothes in an even larger size and soon the only clothes that fit you are tent-like t-shirts and huge pants with elastic waistbands. Feminine underwear is something you can only dream of and your sex appeal is buried under a solid layer of fat.

By now you’ve probably tried a handful of those diets you find all over the place, and since those diets don’t work, you’ve failed - and on top of being heavier than you want to be, you feel guilty and blame yourself for being too weak.

Years go by and during that time you read every diet book on the market, you buy different weight-loss gadgets from TV-shops and maybe you even swallow diet pills. And all you have to show for it is an even higher weight.

You still dream of eventually being slim and beautiful, when suddenly one day it hits you:

You are not only obese, you are also getting older. The crowfeet around your eyes are battling for space with the bags under your eyes. Your forehead is wrinkled and so is the skin around your mouth. Your cheeks are drooping and your neck and décolleté are getting wrinkly too. All of a sudden you discover a thick long hair on your chin and then another and another. Your hair is getting gray, the skin on your arms and legs is getting less firm and your breasts start growing downwards.

If ever there was a time for panicking, this is it. But then again, panic doesn’t help.

Does all of this sound familiar to you? Well, it does to me.
I’ve been overweight since I gave birth to my oldest daughter when I was 26. That’s 27 years ago. For more than half my life, I’ve fought against my fat, one diet at a time. I’ve pretty much done them all: every diet with the name of a fruit in front of it and also some vegetable diets, Fit for Life, Blood Type Diet, Atkinson, Beach Diet - I was even a vegetarian for more than a decade.

If all of these diets have taught me anything, it is that diets are not the right way to go. The times between my diets, on the other hand, taught me that doing nothing is even worse. So what do you do?

Well, I finally found something that helps.

It is a method that during the last 29 years has helped tens of thousands of people (women and men of all ages) in Denmark to lose weight and stay slim.

It is not a diet, but rather a different way to live, and it works for everybody, whether they have to lose 5 kilos or 200 kilos.

You learn to eat your 3 meals a day and a dessert in the evening and you learn how to combine your meals so you lose weight. It is not a miracle cure, but you will lose pound after pound, slowly but surely.

I’m only in my third week, but I’m already having great results. The first week I lost 700g, and as the man who weighed me said: “If you keep on losing 700g every week, next year at this time you will be 35 kilos lighter.” Isn’t that great?

Week two I even lost 2.2 kilos and I’m amazed. And I really didn’t do anything different except eat according to the plan.

So far the method hasn’t been translated into English, but once a week I would like to give you the details about what I do, how I eat and how much I lose each week, if that’s okay with you.

And talking about getting older:

I would also like to give you honest reviews of books and methods I use to get back in shape and transform myself from looking as old as I am to looking younger again.

Okay, I know that since I’m over 50, it will probably take a huge amount of work, a miracle and some good plastic surgery to make me look 25 again, but I want to see how far I can get with good food, lots of fun, yoga for face and body and other all natural remedies.

I’m willing to take the test, and you will get the results once a week if you just click on the link below and give me your name and email address.
